Birthday Rose

Here's my entry for the new challenge from Daily Paintworks posted by Qiang Huang. A Valentine's Day Rose . My husband gave me an amazing bouquet for my birthday on the 9th; I took one rose out and put it in a little vase on the windowsill this morning to paint. Definitely a challenge!! Love to all.

  3. Beautiful job on this! This is a great challenge and I need to get to it soon. I love seeing the brushstrokes on yours. The way you changed directions to create the petals as they turned is fabulous!

  4. Happy Birthday Anne - and it's a fabulous rose! I think they are the HARDEST! And Qiang has been painting them beautifully for a long, long time! I remember when he was trying to 'master' them! Well, that was a while ago, for sure, but you got it right out of the box!
