Riverbank

I am pleased with the loose and fresh paint application using gouache and done at the end of our trip to Nova Scotia. It was the only day the sun came out, this is by the river with fading light, a campfire burning to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Working quickly worked for this one.

  1. Very nice, Anne! Great job with all those greens, as well as your brushstrokes. I like it!

  2. Thanks Linda, why did it seem easier with the gouache? Maybe I need to think less when I paint.

  3. Seems you are coming into your stride, Girl! Nice work! Gouache is very forgiving, isn't it a nice medium and I often forget to use it for quick studies.

  4. Thanks Libby, I need to slow down a bit more when I am outside. Why rush into a painting?
