Day 3 Learning from Bonnard

Add caption
What a master colorist was Bonnard! I changed the composition as I'm working in a square format and looked hard at the amazing separation of light and shadow. So interesting that the value of the tablecloth inside is the same as the garden outside! These are things that interest me. Tomorrow I will abstract  this painting "Dining Room in the Country", one of Bonnard's largest paintings, painted in 1913.

  1. It was the colours that came at me first about this piece! So radiant and warm, I thought 'I have to take a closer look', brilliant piece and I get to learn about Bonnard too! Bonus!

  2. Thank you Sue. I love to learn about new artists too! For this challenge I will be looking at the masters then doing an abstract the next day.
