Lighthouse at North Rustico

What a dream- to travel to Prince Edward Island in our RV. This wonderful lighthouse, at the tip of North Rustico, was a joy to paint plein air. The people were so friendly and welcoming, it’s a place that’s definitely on our list of “ must return to” places. I hope the Blue Mussel Cafe survived this pandemic- as I recall the food being superb! Discovering wonderful restaurants is as much fun as finding places to paint.
This 8x8” painting on a cradled wood panel can be purchased directly through the link of myDailyPaintworks.

It’s A Dream

Painted plein air while on vacation in the Florida Keys. The shades of turquoise are so beautiful and the shapes of the skeletal tree fascinated me. This painting takes me back to the sun, warmth, and calm of the place. I hope it does the same for you. Available for $400, which includes a white washed frame and free shipping in the US. Click on link to my DailyPaintworks. Update!!! Sold!!! A big thank you!!!

The end of the cycle- Pods.

The cycle of the lotus bloom ends with the pods, actually they too turn brown and dried, yet remain beautiful in their own way. Can I see beyond the fresh bloom of the flower, and trust in this miraculous cycle? My New Year’s prayer.

Happy New Year from the Lotus

There’s a lotus pond near where I live in Rhode Island which fascinates me. I’ve painted there a few times, also have amassed plenty of images from my visits there. It’s beautiful in all of its stages. That’s how I’ve come to see all of us- there is no perfect time in life except this precious day! I inhabit my body with gratitude and am open to what the New Year will bring.
