I don’t usually paint winter scenes, but the colors in the sky just spoke to me. I love too, the starkness of the trees without their foliage. This 5x5 oil painted on a cradled wood panel, can be found at my gallery on DailyPaintworks for $95, which includes free shipping in the US. Stay warm -friends! Update!!! Sold!!! A big thank you!!!

After the Sail
The sky is just magnificent at sunset. A perfect way to end a day out on the water. I took this picture walking my dog Cooper at the little beach near my house. It’s a sweet memory for me and it can be for you too. 5x5”, painted in oil on a wooden cradled panel- all ready to hang. Available from my DailyPaintworks gallery for $95. Free shipping in the US.

Painted plein air while on vacation in the Florida Keys. The shades of turquoise are so beautiful and the shapes of the skeletal tree fascinated me. This painting takes me back to the sun, warmth, and calm of the place. I hope it does the same for you. Available for $400, which includes a white washed frame and free shipping in the US. The end of the cycle- Pods.
The cycle of the lotus bloom ends with the pods, actually they too turn brown and dried, yet remain beautiful in their own way. Can I see beyond the fresh bloom of the flower, and trust in this miraculous cycle? My New Year’s prayer.

Happy New Year from the Lotus
There’s a lotus pond near where I live in Rhode Island which fascinates me. I’ve painted there a few times, also have amassed plenty of images from my visits there. It’s beautiful in all of its stages. That’s how I’ve come to see all of us- there is no perfect time in life except this precious day! I inhabit my body with gratitude and am open to what the New Year will bring.
