Fun in the Sun
Fun in the sun. Still thinking up a title for this 8x16 oil painting. I used multiple photo references to get this composition the way I wanted. Playing with color kept it exciting.

A reason for better record-keeping!
WORK TO DO was painted a few years back and recently has been purchased from my website. Because of a higher amount of fraud, the website asked me to verify the buyer, which I couldn’t do because the name didn’t sound familiar. So I texted the buyer, and she replied by sending two images- one of a small landscape painting , and the other the back of the painting with a business card from years back! Happily I could verify the buyer, but better yet, reconnect with a collector! Thank you in Connecticut!
Described on my website as: Contemporary and abstracted view of a figure entering a building. The sky is blue and the day is hot.

For Everything There Is A Season
This painting is inspired in part by the colors blue and yellow. The flag of Ukraine and the love of country in the face of cruel and heartless atrocities.
And too - the colors of the season- the daffodils that carry the hope of Spring, the blue sky that is always there- even though it may be hidden by storms and clouds.
And of course the title is in reference to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. These times certainly call on me to renew my faith, and stay ever hopeful.
This painting can be seen at Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI or on their website for the show Celebrate Spring which runs from March 19th- April 24th.

Gerbera Daisies
These daisies are so full of color, especially as they contrast with the vibrant blue of the table. This 12x12 oil painting is available with free shipping in the US, from my gallery on DailyPaintworks. A painting bright and cheery reminds us that Spring is not too far away.

The Sand Shovel
I have a collection of kids beach toys which are great objects to paint; their structure appeals to me. I painted this a while back, but thought it might appeal to those of us waiting for summer! Available on my DailyPaintworks for $95, which includes free shipping in the US.

L’Heure Bleu (The Blue Hour)
The time of day when the sky turns this magnificent color is called “l’heure bleu” by the French. It was my mother’s favorite time of day and although she’s been gone for 15 years, I still think of her when the sky is this color.
I painted this from a dear friends post on IG- something that I never do, which is to paint from a photo source not my own. Never say never! The exquisite camellia came from her garden; she ended up falling in love and buying it before the paint was dry.
I love it when everyone’s happy.

Winter Sky
The clouds were swirling as the sun tried so hard to break through. The beach on Hilton Head is still cold in January, especially early when we are there to walk Cooper. It never gets old and even though this little painting is only 5x5- it’s full of drama! Available from my DailyPaintworks gallery for $95, which includes free shipping.
