Here's my entry for the new challenge from
Daily Paintworks posted by Qiang Huang. A Valentine's Day Rose . My husband gave me an amazing bouquet for my birthday on the 9th; I took one rose out and put it in a little vase on the windowsill this morning to paint. Definitely a challenge!! Love to all.
Beautifully done! I like your touches of lavender.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!Tried to really watch the clock too and not get bogged down in detail.I appreciate your comments.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on this! This is a great challenge and I need to get to it soon. I love seeing the brushstrokes on yours. The way you changed directions to create the petals as they turned is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLovely work
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Anne - and it's a fabulous rose! I think they are the HARDEST! And Qiang has been painting them beautifully for a long, long time! I remember when he was trying to 'master' them! Well, that was a while ago, for sure, but you got it right out of the box!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I've never even attempted roses ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, too.
