Beach Finds

I have always loved to walk, head down, along the shore, to see what treasures might catch my eye. These tiny coquinas I drew first with my new Prismacolor brush markers, then worked from that for my oil painting. I am trying to paint with higher values, so the initial shadow shapes had to go much lighter to achieve the softness I wanted.
