Off Season

Off Season depicts a summer business, typical of those dotting our coastal towns. Shuttered and quiet at this moment in time, but soon will be filled with all the senses of summer. Smell the salt air, you’re only steps from the ocean! Available in my DailyPaintworks Gallery for $450 with free shipping in the US.

Santa Barbara Plein AIr

Southern California weather makes for a plein air session without some of the usual hassles we find in the Northeast - bugs, wind, too hot or too cold.
Maybe you who live here don’t agree but it was heaven to me.
I went over to the Santa Barbara Mission but was more interested in this house across the street. I couldn’t resist that tile roof.
In my happy place for a couple of hours!

Mill Street Morning

Finally got organized to paint plein air today! All my painting paraphenalia loaded in the car. What a beatiful morning in Newport. Ended up here, on Mill Street, looking at 2 new shops The Newport Tower Museum and The Mill Street Garden Shop. Good luck to both of these new businesses! This building housed the Red Cross offices for many years. Me, I'm just happy to be outside and painting. Lots of friendly visitors to our town stopping by for a look and a chat.
