Do out of town scenes attract collectors?

I'm curious about whether anyone has found that local scenes work better for local markets or do out of town scenes attract the wanderlust in us?

It's Been Awhile/ from Lajitas

Our winter RV travels took us to Lajitas Texas, a tiny town next to Big Bend National Park. Painted this along the Rio Grande, amazed at being in so wild and wonderful a setting. 12x16

Mc Kinney Falls State Park

I painted this over the course of two afternoons looking at the trees in this amazing state park just outside of Austin. This was our campsite view for 4 nights!

Red Navels

Hadn't tried a red navel orange til I bought some at the Farmers Market in Panama City, Fl.

So then I painted one...

American Beach

A haven when beaches were segregated on Amelia Island, American Beach was established for African Americans and became a very popular destination. Today it's a mix of giant new McMansions and the homes built in the 30's. I started this sitting on the dunes and finished it at home from memory and photos.

Wind and Radishes

I wanted to paint the radishes one more time (even though I still don't have any Titanium White) so I set them up on the picnic table where we are camping at Fort Clinch. We are right on the beach and the winds were relentless yesterday. My poor bunch wilted before my very eyes! Such are the problems we painters from direct observation encounter!

Where's the Titanium?

When I got out my paints after being away from the motor home for a month, I panicked as there was no Titanium White. I then remembered taking that large tube home with me... Now what? I used Naples Yellow Light and am relieved I was able to get the painting done! A big bunch of radishes from the farmers market this morning in Fernandina Beach. No stopping me now!
