Wrap Up and what's next

Here's the last wrap of the paintings I did in the 30 day challenge. I ask, why does it take a "challenge" to get me painting and posting every day? Or maybe it's normal to just crash after such an outpouring of paint and schedules changed to accommodate daily painting.
I say, if I didn't work, if I didn't help with my grandchildren, if I wasn't engrossed in Edna O'Brien's biography, if , if, if. But honestly I love all those things and the time I spend doing them is also perfectly precious to me.
So what will be next for me? I have quite figured it out, but believe me, I will be letting you know!Going to be in the studio in the morning, something will start to cook, I'm sure of it.

  1. It's great to see how you arranged these Anne. I had so many 'favorites' where your paintings were concerned - most especially those blue shoes and that green stool!

  2. Did YOU have a favorite Ann? For me, your thank you card painting was mine. Love the idea, the design and the painterly quality of it.

You ask a good question, Ann. I think the answer depends on the individual.I think a well rounded life is as important to am artist as anyone else. My art is also my job so time is allotted accordingly.

    1. Thanks for your comments Julie, I enjoyed both the green Met bag and the thank you box because of the lettering, something I hadn't done before and would like to explore more. One day I won't be working and it will be all art!Jolly good for you!!

  3. That is what this journey is all about! I enjoy your blog and writings so much. You are so thoughtful and real. Be careful what you wish for though. Painting "full time" has it's pit falls. A lot of alone time which breeds self doubt. Eesh.

  4. I think without a challenge it's too easy for life to take over. Like I have GOT to finish my tax stuff and grade my student's papers...and and and...it was great to work everyday and I do hope I find my way back. Nice to visit your site as a reminder.
